connect to a sustainable food system
At LocalSprout, we’re embedding food production into the built environment of cities. Our gardens, farm, and food hub in downtown San Antonio have connected consumers to delicious sustainable food since 2014.
Our Food Hub houses food trucks, fermenters, chili queens, coffee roasters, pitmasters, butchers, juicers, bakers, caterers, creameries, ranchers, and farmers. The 16,000 square foot shared space contains more than twenty active companies, and an active food truck commissary. Powered by a rooftop solar array, featuring large walk-in coolers and freezers, filled with beautiful kitchens and urban farming infrastructure, the facility is built to last as a culinary community asset for decades to come. Learn more about our partner companies and the food hub here.
Our farm grows hydroponic kale we sell directly to restaurants, and each year we build and operate more gardens at restaurants throughout the city. A great food system will be grown as well as built, and the seeds planted at LocalSprout are thriving.
